`looking back on 2002 it has been a most eventful year for the bingo association and the nbga. it was the year that saw many developments the deregulation order which permits the mix of jackpots and awp machines, the ending of the 14-day notice of increased charges to be given to magistrates, the first introduction of the electronic dauber and the ending of the restriction on mcb places in bingo clubs. it also saw the government's response to the budd report and in that connection the association has persuaded the dcms to allow some 16- and 17-year-olds to continue being employed in bingo clubs in some activities. this was the third year of game for life and our connection with macmillan cancer relief. our customers and clubs have now raised the magnificent sum of over 1million for the charity. the national game also had its biggest game to date, with a prize of 950, 000 being won on december 22. the new year will almost certainly be equally important to the industry. the association hopes that its lengthy negotiations with customs and excise will produce an efficient replacement for bingo duty in the form of gross profit tax. structured in the right way this should benefit our customers, our members and the exchequer over the medium term. later in the year the government's new gambling bill is due to be published. both before and after this, intensive lobbying and discussion must continue. last year was hectic and 2003 will prove to be no different. we in the association hope that the changes that come will further enable the bingo industry to grow and prosper. a goal we are all working towards and looking forward to seeing realized.'.

We could see very well why we couldn't use oak park last year - wow! big piles of dirt moved to the side, etc. bob told us it was , 000 in equipment rental alone, not including labor, etc. to clean up the area. i must be dense no remarks please ; , but i really don't understand the hesitancy of the group to participate in campouts at oak park. by and large the staff is wonderful, and the cabana area with great tables, serving area, electric, stainless counter top and the bar-b-que is really nice, at least i think so. several people find this location easily accessible to a number of great places to eat. a particular favorite of a lot of us is the "hat" - pastrami sandwiches by the pound and fries or onion rings by the bag full. truly great stuff. oh well, i had a terrific time. ya know, i guess every group has its whiners. the calf ropers at the rodeo are pretty bad, but you should have heard four poker card game players on thursday, with their knickers in a bunch cause they didn't have a fifth. about 5 years old - giggle ; . they truly are an interesting bunch let's see - if i recall correctly gene ewald was not doing well on friday, but seemed to recover a bit on saturday, and then sunday was telling us that joel erickson had to put sideboards on his "poker money container" to hold all his winnings. see what you missed tommy! deb drake was the woman of the hour or several as the case may be ; on friday. she was the fifth poker player! well that may have come in second - not quite sure. she drove their rig in, parked and leveled with very little advice ; and set up their entire campsite - unassisted. advised but all on her own. poor thing - said she was very tired after this major accomplishment - probably the stress of it all. ed colleran reported experiencing a slow down on the freeway coming in and having heard about an accident on the 118 about kuehner drive. got on his cb to make sure a flair wasn't involved - not to worry deb took the surface streets to get to oak park. the newcomers did an excellent job as wagonmasters - especially considering doris is only two weeks out of surgery. those of you who have never had her tacos haven't a clue what you're missing. i mean we even had valentine decorations, including balloons don had to crawl under the tables to tie. dang it woman - i gotta follow your act next month ; speaking of valentine "stuff". i haven't a clue where marva comes up with some of her "crafting" things and i got fined for crafting? ; . she had us making these little "heart angels" - ya right - including halos. what a pain.

If fiends are an obvious choice for horror villains. they make up for it by performing so superbly in the role. from the scheming greater devil to the demonic servant summoned by a mad cult--a servant who might possess more free will than his apparent masters realize--creatures from the lower planes are a mainstay of horror fantasy. nor are they mere physical threats: their ability to possess others makes them far more sinister, and far more subtle, than straightforward marauders. unfortunately, it's a danger with which most players are familiar. consider, therefore, drawing upon a different selection of outsiders to enhance a game's horrific feel. even good-aligned genies often have inscrutable methods, and evil ones enjoy taking advantage of poor bargains to distort the desires and wishes ; of mortals foolish enough to deal with them. pcs forced by circumstances to make bargains with evil entities could find themselves on the run from inevitables see page 158 of the monster manual ; should they choose to disregard their end of the bargain. even a good outsider might decide that in a given situation the good of the many outweighs the good of the few--and the pcs might fi nd themselves among the few.
