Poker rules you may buy additional hands for .00, with the same discard rules applying. there is no limit on the number of hands you may purchase. extra hands must be purchased before the ride by 11: 00 a.m. your rider number will be written on your card, along with the additional hands. for example, if you are rider #100 and you have pre-entered for a free hand; and also purchased an extra hand so you have two additional hands; your cards will read 100, 100a, 100b, so there will be no mixing of cards among your hands. your rider number will be handwritten with the letters of your hands. you will receive poker money cards at checkpoints along the trail. the dealer will mark the back of your card with your rider number and letter s ; so there is no temptation to cheat.
The lakeshore contains trails suited to all levels of fitness and energy. not sure where to start? try these: king of the mountain -- if you're fit as a fiddle, don't roll back down the dune climb just yet -- keep going. up top, there's a series of rolling dunes and marked posts to follow. and over yonder, is lake michigan. but be aware: this can be the park's most grueling hike. rescuers every so often have to retrieve lost souls who made it to the big lake but couldn't get back home. ; take water to drink, be prepared to be challenged, avoid peak sun, and expect to hike through sand for three to four hours. into the woods -- the platte plains trail, at esch road south of empire, loops you 14.7 miles through backcountry pine plantations, open fields and shoreline. north of glen arbor is a shorter woodland hike. the eight-mile bayview trail winds through forests, fields and the rural port oneida historic district. somewhere in time -- the tiny ghost town, glen haven, has awoken, giving visitors glimpses into yesteryear's blacksmith shops, general stores and canneries. pop in, then take a short quarter-mile hike or drive down the road to the coast guard lifesaving station museum, where maritime heroes re-enact a shipwreck and rescue of raggedy ann and andy ; daily at 3 p.m. sunset boulevard -- you just don't get better views -- or sunsets -- than from the 8-mile pierce stocking drive, south of glen arbor, and on a lazy summer day, you also get to take it easy on this drive. this 12-stop loop up a bluff has two picnic areas and winds through woodland filled with trillium and dutchman's breeches in spring. remember your camera.
